inGenious – shaping the future of maths and science education

inGenious is the European Coordinating Body in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Education. It is a joint initiative launched by European Schoolnet and the European Roundtable of Industrialists (ERT) aiming to reinforce young European’s interest in science education and careers and thus address anticipated future skills gaps within the European Union.

MAKASH was a partner and implemented the project in Israel in close collaboration with the Administration for Science and Technology of the Ministry of Education. Dozens of teachers from Israel participated together with their colleagues from Europe in training workshops. These teachers have continued to participate in the online communities of inGenious and have led, in their schools, programs to increase the interest of the student in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics).

The project activities continue through the STEM Alliance that engage the industry in the effort to advance education in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.

The MAKASH presentation at the project kick-off in 2011 is available here. This file details the activities carried out by MAKASH (in Hebrew) in the framework of this project.
